Artsmith is a non-profit organization promoting arts education and the creation of new works of art through the following programs:
Residency opportunities for selected writers, artists, and scholars
Literary events for writers, teachers, students, and those who appreciate fine literature
Literary contests to showcase the work of outstanding writers
Exhibition and performance opportunities for local and visiting artists
Opportunities for publishing and/or broadcasting fine literary works

Jennifer Brennock - Assistant Director
Jennifer Brennock earned an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from Goddard College. Jennifer teaches creative writing and English composition. Excerpts from her memoir, Barren, can be read in Line Zero, Pitkin Review, and the anthology Becoming: What Makes a Woman. Her novel in progress, Not Jewish, is about a family refusing to blend. Jill McCabe Johnson - Director
Jill enjoys writing poetry and fiction. She is the recipient of an artist residency from the A.P. Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, an Edgren Fellowship, and a Deborah Tall Memorial Fund Fellowship. She has an MFA from Pacific Lutheran University Rainier Writing Workshop, and is pursuing a PhD at the University of Nebraska. Jill received the 2010 Editor's Choice Poetry Award from ScissorTale Review, and the Paula Jones Gardiner poetry award from Floating Bridge Press. Her poetry, fiction, and essays have received Pushcart nominations, and her work has recently been published in journals such as Harpur Palate, The Los Angeles Review, and Iron Horse Literary Review.

Anne Toxey, PhD
Anne is an architectural designer, preservationist, and researcher specializing in old world cultures. Having degrees in Art History and Architecture, she has also worked as an archaeologist affiliated with University of Texas's Institute of Classical Archaeology. She is editor and contributing author of two books, including the award winning The Chora of Metaponto; The Necropoleis. She teaches at multiple universities, and directs annual summer courses on the ancient Sassi cave dwellings in Matera, Italy.
Patrick McMillan
Patrick is an exhibit designer, art director, producer, and filmmaker who has worked internationally with such groups as Cannon Films, Landmark Entertainment, Walt Disney's Imagineering, and Warner Brothers. He has also worked extensively in the museum industry to provide entertaining, inventive, and large scale exhibits. His museum exhibit design has won numerous awards including the Nature Conservancy Award. He teaches graphic design, sculpture, and computer-modeling.
